Where are you located? We are located on the corner of Hydraulic and Georgetown Roads, just off of Route 29, and within walking distance of the new Trader Joe's and IMAX Theatre.

Can I apply online? Yes, you can submit applications online via the "APPLY NOW" button at the top of this page. You will then just need to pay the non $75 /person application fee. Please contact the office prior to application to ensure that we have an apartment available for you as the application fee is nonrefundable.

What does the Utility Fee include? The utility fee covers gas for heat & hot water, electricity (in select units), cable TV with 8 HBO channels, Internet access, water, sewer, trash removal, and recycling. Simple and hassle-free.

What are your lease terms? Our standard leases are twelve months. We also offer month to month leasing on our corporate furnished unit options. Call us for availability.

How can I reserve an apartment home at your community? Simply fill out our rental application, submit your application and pay the $100 reservation fee, and sign the reservation agreement. If for some reason your application is not approved, your reservation fee is fully refundable.

How much is the application fee? The application fee is a non-refundable $75 fee, for any person 18 years of age or older, that will be residing in the apartment.

How much is your security deposit? The minimum security deposit is $750* for one and two bedroom apartments, and $1000* for two bedroom townhouses and three bedroom apartments. Please keep in mind that the security deposits can fluctuate depending on how you qualify. *subject to change

What is your Preferred Employer's Program? It is a discounted security deposit, offered to employees, who work for companies listed on our Preferred Employer list. Call and ask for details today!

What time is move in? Move in is at 4:00 p.m. on the first day of your lease. Please allow enough time to complete some move in paperwork upon your arrival. This may take up to 15 minutes. 

In what school district is Westgate located? We are in the Greer Elementary, Jack Jouett Middle and Albemarle High School District.

Are the apartments furnished? Yes, we do offer beautifully furnished apartments, and they can also be leased on a short-term basis.

Do you have recycling on the property? Yes, we gladly provide recycling to our residents with one centrally located single stream recycling center on the property.

Is there assigned parking? Parking is not assigned throughout the community.

Do you have fireplaces? Yes, our townhomes have fireplaces.

Do you have patios? Yes, our townhomes have fenced patios and select apartment homes have patios or balconies.

What are your office hours? Mon - Fri 9 - 6, Sat 10 - 5, Sun - Closed

When is rent due? Rent is due on the 1st of the month and is considered past due after the close of business on the 5th of the month.

What type of payments do you accept? We accept cashier’s, personal or certified checks, and money orders. With a small convenience fee, we can also accept electronic checks and credit or debit cards. Unfortunatley, no cash, starter, or counter checks will be accepted.

Is there a late fee if I pay my rent after the 5th of the month? Yes, there is a $70 late fee applied after the close of business on the 5th. As a reminder we do not accept personal checks if your rent is paid after the 5th of the month. All late payments must be made with certified funds.

My lease is getting ready to expire. What should I prepare for? Your lease will end at 10:00 a.m. on the last day of your lease. We will send you detailed move out instructions well in advance of your move out day. For more information, click here.

How soon do you need to know my plans of renewing or vacating my apartment home? Our lease renewal notice period is 90 days before the end of your lease, and we will contact you about your plans prior to that time.

Do you allow pets? Pets are welcome at Westgate! We have a 2 pet maximum with no weight limit. Our breed restrictions include purebreds or mixes of Rottweiler, Chow, German Shepard, Doberman, Pitbull, Bullies, Staffordshire Terriers, and Wolfe Hybrids. Ferrets are also prohibited. Vet paperwork stating breed and proof that all shots are up to date are also required.

How much is the pet deposit and is it refundable? The pet deposit is $200 and is refundable less any damage caused by the pet. In addition to the pet deposit, there is a $300 per pet non-refundable pet fee to be paid at move in. 

How do I reserve one of the additional storage spaces offered to residents? Simply drop by the office to check out the storage room key to gain access to the storage areas, and then just select an available storage area. You will need to use your own lock to secure the space.

Are you on the city bus line? Yes, there are two bus stops that are adjacent to the property.

Is internet and cable provided? YES! We include cable TV with 8 HBO channels and WiFi! 

Do you accept housing vouchers? We provide housing opportunities to all prospective residents who meet our resident screening criteria regardless of their Source of Funds.
